Tottenham Hotspur head coach Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed that winger Andros Townsend is back in contention to feature for the North London side after apologising for a spat with one of the club's coaching staff.
Townsend was not considered for selection in Spurs' last two matches before the international break as punishment for a heated exchange with a Spurs fitness coach during a post-match warm-down.
The England international has said sorry and could feature on Sunday in the fifth-versus-sixth Premier League contest against West Ham United.
"Andros started training with the group again on Tuesday," Pochettino told reporters. "For me, it was a problem for which he has apologised.
"He is still young, needs to improve. For me, forget the past, if he deserves to be in the squad, it is not a problem.
"We need to forget that and we need to give him the possibility to be part of the team."
Pochettino also said that Nacer Chadli was not available after damaging his ankle on international duty for Algeria.
The winger has not featured since August because of an injury to the same ankle, but Pochettino is confident that he will be back for either Thursday's Europa League contest against Qarabag or the visit of Chelsea a week on Sunday.
