With Timo Werner on the brink of signing from RB Leipzig, Gil's game time is unlikely to increase, and there is scope for an exit from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The North Londoners are expected to be open to loan or permanent deals, with Gil still having two-and-a-half years remaining on his contract.
Gil's only periods of regular football since signing for Spurs in 2021 have been out on loan at Valencia and Sevilla respectively.
During the second half of 2022-23, the Spain international made 24 appearances as he helped the latter move away from the La Liga relegation zone and win the Europa League.
