Dons manager Karl Robinson is reportedly keen to capture the winger's services for the remainder of the season as his side challenge for promotion to the Championship.
The 27-year-old is currently suffering with a knee injury but is expected to recover later this month.
Bentley is believed to be open to a switch to Dons as he lives in the area.
