Paris Saint-Germain have released a statement "categorically denying" that they are preparing a move for Tottenham Hotspur playmaker Christian Eriksen.
Reports surfaced last week suggesting that the Ligue 1 champions were lining up a £100m bid for the Danish midfielder in an attempt to prise him away from Spurs before the end of the European transfer window on Friday.
However, the French outfit have moved to distance themselves from the speculation, suggesting that such a bid would be impossible due to Financial Fair Play rules.
In an email to The AP, PSG said that it "categorically denies the transfer rumours regarding a potential transfer of Christian Eriksen" and claimed that the rumours "seem to ignore the current reality of the transfer market".
PSG have spent big money in the past two transfer windows, signing Neymar and Kylian Mbappe in the two most expensive transfers of all time.
