Tottenham Hotspur are closing in on the signing of Giovani Lo Celso from Real Betis, according to a report.
Spurs have held an interest in the Argentina international all summer, with a deal having thought to be close in early July.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the 23-year-old will finally sign a 5-year-contract at Spurs before next week's transfer deadline.
Mauricio Pochettino had earlier this week hinted that he was unhappy with a lack of influence over transfers at Tottenham, despite the North London club having broken their transfer record to sign Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon last month.
Lo Celso scored nine goals in La Liga from midfield in the 2018-19 campaign and could add creativity to Tottenham's engine room.
Spurs have also signed Jack Clarke from Leeds United this summer, with the 18-year-old heading back to Elland Road on a one-year loan move.
