Swansea City's Neil Taylor has revealed that he expects to feature more for the team this season following the departure of fellow full-back Ben Davies.
Both Taylor and Davies were linked with moves away from the club this summer, though it was Davies who eventually made way when he completed a move to Tottenham Hotspur.
With less competition for places in the full-back position, Taylor is hopeful that he will be able to cement a place in the first team during the upcoming campaign.
"Of course I want to play more than I did last season. That's the key for any player," the 25-year-old is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.
"I was sat there this summer waiting to see what happened and in the end the club has decided to sell Ben. That's the fact of the matter.
"I love this football club. It has done amazing things for me. I've never said a bad word. The key for me is to start playing well and most importantly I want to do well for the manager. He's working incredibly hard at this job and we all want to do well for him."
Wales international Taylor has spent the past four years at Swansea.
