Swansea City boss Garry Monk is hopeful that Wilfried Bony's contract extension will be finalised before Arsenal's visit to the Liberty Stadium on Sunday.
Bony revealed on Thursday that negotiations over a one-year extension were at an advanced stage, and Monk hopes that the deal will be done before kickoff tomorrow evening.
"Hopefully it will be agreed before the weekend and done before the game," he told Sky Sports News.
"That would be nice, but you've got to go through the legal procedures to check everything's in place.
"I've had a great relationship with Wilfried and spoke to him a lot in the summer, I know how committed he is as a person and as a professional."
The Ivorian, who marked his first season in South Wales with 24 goals last term, has so far netted four times for the Swans.
