Zoltan Gera has expressed his happiness at forcing his way back into the West Bromwich Albion squad.
A succession of injuries limited the Hungarian international to just two appearances for the Baggies last season.
However, he returned to the starting lineup against Liverpool on Saturday, scoring a goal in the process.
"Last season was very difficult," he told reporters. "So there was extra motivation for me to come back and play again for the club.
"It's a great feeling to play for the club and win the game in the way we did on Saturday.
"I still feel I need more game time, more minutes on the pitch, and then I will be fitter than at the moment."
The 33-year-old joined West Brom in 2011 from Fulham.
