Adel Taarabt starts for the first time since the opening day of the season as QPR go in search of their first win of the Premier League season against West Brom.

Mark Hughes has restored talented playmaker Adel Taarabt to the Queens Park Rangers starting lineup for their trip to West Bromwich Albion this afternoon.

The Moroccan's goalscoring appearance as a substitute in the defeat to West Ham United on Monday has earned him his first start since the opening day of the season.

Djibril Cisse is dropped to the bench as Hughes reverts to 4-4-2, with Taarabt providing support for lone striker Bobby Zamora.

Hughes also makes a double change in defence, welcoming back Jose Bosingwa and Anton Ferdinand from injury in place of Nedum Onuoha and Stephane Mbia, who moves into midfield at the expense of Alejandro Faurlin.

Peter Odemwingie returns from suspension for the hosts after missing their last three matches, but Chris Brunt and Billy Jones are unavailable after picking up injuries in the 1-1 draw with Aston Villa last weekend.

Gabriel Tamas replaces Jones at right-back and will play alongside Jonas Olsson, who signed a new four-year deal at The Hawthorns on Friday, in the Baggies defence.

West Brom: Foster; Tamas, McAuley, Olsson, Popov; Yacob, Mulumbu; Gera, Morrison, Odemwingie; Long

QPR: Cesar; Bosingwa, Ferdinand, Nelsen, Hill; Granero, Mbia, Wright-Phillips, Taarabt, Park; Zamora
