West Ham striker Andy Carroll accuses referee Jonathan Moss of awarding a penalty against his side in an attempt to even things out during the 2-2 draw with Leicester.

West Ham United striker Andy Carroll has accused referee Jonathan Moss of awarding a late penalty to Leicester City in an attempt to even things out.

Moss had earlier provoked the ire of the home fans at the King Power Stadium by showing Jamie Vardy a second yellow card for diving and awarding a contentious penalty against the Foxes when Winston Reid went down under the challenge of Wes Morgan.

Carroll stuck that spot kick away, but then conceded one of his own when he bundled into Jeffrey Schlupp in the final minute of injury time, leaving Leonardo Ulloa to rescue a 2-2 draw for the league leaders.

"[The foul on Reid] is always going to happen, for me it was a penalty," Carroll told Sky Sports News.

"The one given against me, he was going down before I got to him, 100% he took a touch, the referee has looked to even it out."

West Ham have now gone six games without a win in all competitions, including four consecutive Premier League draws.
