West Ham United boss Slaven Bilic plays down Zlatan Ibrahimovic talk

West Ham United boss Slaven Bilic plays down claims that his club could move for Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic at the end of the season.

West Ham United boss Slaven Bilic has poured cold water on suggestions that his team could move for Zlatan Ibrahimovic on a free transfer at the end of the season.

Ibrahimovic is entering the final three months of his contract at Paris Saint-Germain and the Swedish international has been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League.

Recent reports claimed that West Ham were considering a move for the 34-year-old, but Bilic has admitted that it is unlikely that the Hammers could tempt the striker into joining the capital side.

"I see we have been linked next season with Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Yes, we are ambitious and we are determined to progress. To be realistic, though, we are not yet a club who those kind of players would consider," Bilic wrote in his column for the London Evening Standard.

Ibrahimovic, who has scored 30 times in 35 games for PSG this season, has also recently been linked with a move to Manchester United.
