West Ham have reportedly made a bid for Sunderland's Connor Wickham, according to Sky Sports.
Hammers boss Sam Allardyce is looking to recruit another striker before the start of the Premier League season after Andy Carroll was dealt an injury blow on their pre-season tour.
Wickham spent half of last season on loan to Sheffield Wednesday and had a brief period on loan at Leeds United before being recalled to help Sunderland fight relegation.
The 21-year-old scored twice in Sunderland's 2-2 draw with Manchester City and also scored in the Black Cats' 2-1 win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
