West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce has reportedly identified Connor Wickham as a potential replacement for Andy Carroll.
Centre-forward Carroll has been ruled out of action for around four months with an ankle injury.
The likes of Samuel Eto'o and Peter Crouch have been linked with switches to Upton Park to cover the England frontman's absence, but Sunderland striker Wickham is also being considered by Allardyce, according to The Telegraph.
Wickham, 21, has just 12 months left to run on his contract at the Stadium of Light.
