Uwe Rosler taking FA Cup "seriously"

Uwe Rosler admits that there might be a couple of changes to his side but he would take the FA Cup tie with Cardiff City "seriously".

Wigan Athletic manager Uwe Rosler has insisted that his side will be taking the FA Cup seriously, although he could make a small number of changes to his lineup for the clash against Cardiff City on Saturday.

Rosler said that he also expected changes from Ole Gunna Solskjaer's side, but hopes that his team could stay competitive without Rob Kiernan, Nicky Maynard and James McArthur.

"I expect Cardiff to make changes to their team because they had a game midweek just like us," he told BBC Sport. "There will be changes to my team as well, but we remain in the same mindset that this competition is to be taken very seriously.

"We have certain players who are unavailable such as Rob Kiernan who is cup-tied and Nicky Maynard who can't play against his parent club. We will also be missing James McArthur because he has been ill and will not be travelling with us to the game."

Wigan beat Manchester City in the final last season.
