Patrick Cutrone is reportedly back training with Wolverhampton Wanderers after failing to secure a loan move to Fiorentina.
After being limited to just six starts in the Premier League and Europa League group stages, Cutrone and Wolves are open to parting ways at the midway point of the campaign.
The Italian was missing from the squad to face Manchester United in the FA Cup on Saturday evening after being given permission to negotiate a return to his homeland.
However, despite spending several days in Italy, Sky Sports News claims that discussions between the relevant parties did not reach a positive conclusion.
The report says that Fiorentina were interested in a loan deal with a view to a permanent transfer - terms which seemingly were not accepted by Wolves.
Cutrone may now come back into contention for Saturday's Premier League fixture against Newcastle United.
