Marseille are reportedly still planning to sell Wolverhampton Wanderers-linked defender Duje Caleta-Car in the January transfer window.
The Croatia international was understood to have been the subject of an £8.6m deadline-day bid from Wolves but instead elected to stay put at the Orange Velodrome, which supposedly irked those upstairs.
Marseille were allegedly considering punishing Caleta-Car for his refusal to leave the club, but Jorge Sampaoli's side are now thought to simply be focused on finding the best solution for both parties with regards to a transfer.
According to L'Equipe, Marseille remain keen to sell the out-of-favour centre-back this season, which could see Wolves reignite their interest in the January transfer window.
The report claims that Marseille dropped the idea of 'punishing' Caleta-Car after realising that such actions would impact the player's value, and he also rejected a move to Valencia last month.
Caleta-Car is yet to play a single minute in the 2021-22 Ligue 1 season, though, and his deal at Marseille is due to expire in 2023.
