England coach Stuart Lancaster has revealed that he expects Joe Marler to be fit for the first Autumn International against Fiji next weekend.
Harlequins prop Marler has been struggling with a hamstring strain, a problem that forced England to draft in Matt Mullan from Worcester Warriors for extra cover.
Lancaster said that Marler is progressing well and should be ready for the Fiji test on Saturday, November 10.
He told BBC Sport: "We're confident in Joe, we have been careful with him this week.
"All the medical info I'm getting is he'll be good to go on Monday."
Lancaster also confirmed that Northampton Saints duo Courtney Lawes and Dylan Hartley will definitely miss the Fiji match as they both continue to struggle with knee injuries.
