Caroline Wozniacki continues her impressive start to the French Open with a straight-sets win over Jarmila Gaidosova.

Caroline Wozniacki has continued her search for a first Grand Slam title with a 6-1 6-4 win over Jarmila Gaidosova in the French Open second round.

The Dane, who dropped just one game on her way to a opening round victory, was again in impressive form during the first set.

An early break of serve gave her immediate control as she stormed into a 3-0 advantage.

A further break in the latter stages of the first and a strong hold at 5-1 saw the former world number one secure the opening set.

She was given a much sterner test in the second as Gaidosova showed determination to reduce the deficit to 5-4 after Wozniacki claimed another break.

However, the ninth seed responded to serve out for the match and book her place in the third round at Roland Garros.
