Sorana Cirstea has revealed that she had no expectations coming into the Miami Masters following her surprise third-round victory over Angelique Kerber.
The Romanian caused an upset at the tournament on Sunday as she eliminated the sixth seed 6-4 6-0.
"I didn't have any expectations coming into this tournament because I've never played that well in Miami," Cirstea told reporters.
"But I've been fighting the best I could and working my way through every single match, and it's working."
The world number 27 will meet Jelena Jankovic in the next round with a quarter-final spot in store for the winner.
