British hopeful Elena Baltacha has booked her spot in the second round of Wimbledon following a 4-6 6-4 6-0 victory over Karin Knapp.
The Italian professional began the game on the front foot and was able to clinch the first break point of the match, which allowed the 24-year-old to take the reins on the grass court.
A host of impressive returns and powerful serves pushed Knapp to victory in the opening set, despite her British opponent's attempts to prove her worth.
Baltacha improved as the match developed, however, and she secured the only break in the second to level it at one-set-all.
In truth, the third and final set was a walk in the park with the Brit securing three breaks of serve to take it 6-0.
