Marcelo Lippi believes that AC Milan need Didier Drogba more than Juventus.

Marcelo Lippi has said that Didier Drogba would be a suitable replacement for the outgoing Robinho and Alexandre Pato at AC Milan.

The Brazilian duo are expected to leave the San Siro imminently, leading to speculation regarding whom the Rossoneri will get to replace them.

Lippi, who coached in Serie A with Juventus, said that Drogba still has something to offer.

"If Robinho and Alexandre Pato really are leaving Milan, then I'd see Drogba doing better for the Rossoneri than Juventus," Lippi told Gazzetta dello Sport.

"He played against my Guangzhou Evergrande recently and is still a beast. He really makes the difference on the field.

"Drogba would be a precious addition to the squad both in Serie A and the Champions League. In technical terms, he'd form a great partnership with El Shaarawy."

Drogba left Chelsea for Shanghai Shenhua at the end of last season.
