Almeria goalkeeper Oscar Ustari is reportedly keen to depart the Spanish club on free transfer this month.
The 27-year-old moved to La Liga from Boca Juniors last summer, but has failed to make a single first-team appearance thus far this season.
According to reports in Spain, Ustari is hopeful that Almeria will grant him a free transfer 18 months before the end of his contract as he attempts to win a spot in the Argentina squad for the World Cup.
It is believed that Sunderland are interested in signing the keeper, whose career has stalled due to a number of serious knee injuries.
