Former Arsenal goalkeeper David Seaman has said that Petr Cech was at his best as the Gunners beat Bayern Munich in their Champions League group-stage clash on Tuesday.
The Czech stopper made a number of saves to deny the Bundesliga before Arsenal won the match 2-0 thanks to second-half goals from Olivier Giroud and Mesut Ozil at the Emirates Stadium.
Cech had been left out of Arsenal's previous Champions League match, which ended in defeat to Olympiacos, and Seaman has suggested that the 33-year-old should be playing in the biggest games.
"Everybody was surprised that [David] Ospina played against Olympiacos," the former England international told talkSPORT.
"You saw what Cech did last night - that is why he should be playing. He made some fantastic saves.
"What I like about Petr Cech is that even when he makes a save he is calm afterwards. He doesn't get up, start ranting and making the defence uneasy. He is calm, gets on with it, gets the defence sorted and moves on."
Cech joined Arsenal from Chelsea for £10m in the summer.
