Arsenal defender William Saliba will reportedly miss the Gunners' Premier League clash with Liverpool this weekend due to injury.
Saliba has not featured since Arsenal were knocked out of the Europa League by Sporting Lisbon last month.
A back injury is set to keep the Frenchman out for Sunday's trip to Anfield, a stadium Arsenal have a notoriously poor record at.
The Mirror claims that Saliba will not recover in time for this weekend's match, meaning Rob Holding may have to deputise alongside Gabriel Magalhaes.
Arsenal have taken just one point from their last nine visits to Anfield, conceding almost four goals per game in the process.
Before Arsenal's 4-1 win over Leeds United at the weekend, manager Mikel Arteta told the press: "He is progressing. He still has some discomfort in his back. We are trying to manage him in the best possible way. We are trying, he's trying to do everything to feel better and get back into training, but not yet."
The report also states that Arteta is unwilling to risk Saliba too soon as he will hope to have him available for the end of the season, meaning that the chances of a recurrence may play a part in his absence.
