Zenit St Petersburg midfielder Andrey Arshavin has confirmed that he was unhurt following a car crash.
The Russian was thought to have collided with another vehicle in St Petersburg on Thursday.
"To avoid the unnecessary gossip, I'd like to give a statement," he wrote on his official website. "It is true that I was involved in an accident today (Thursday), but I am okay and nobody got hurt.
"What do I remember of the incident? A tram driver gave me a grapefruit as he was passing by."
Arshavin is currently on loan at his former club from Arsenal following a move last month.
