David Moyes insists that Royston Drenthe's goal against Arsenal should have stood.

David Moyes has insisted that Royston Drenthe's goal should have stood after losing 1-0 to Arsenal last night.

The Toffees had their first-half strike ruled out after the officials adjudged the Dutch international to be in an offside position after going a goal behind to the Gunners in the early stages.

"We have had a sore deal the last few games," he said. "Apart from the first 20 minutes I thought we did as well as Arsenal.

"We have had poor decisions in the games against us. There were five decisions which were onside. I have checked. It was a goal. It cost us in the end."

Everton remain in t10th place in the Premier League following the defeat.
