Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has reiterated that the club are 'actively' trying to bring new players to the club before the close of the transfer window.
The North London outfit are alleged to have a £70m kitty for transfers, but the club are yet to secure any big-name targets, including the likes of Liverpool striker Luis Suarez and Bayern Munich midfielder Luiz Gustavo.
"We are active," Wenger told the club's official website. "We are in a situation like Manchester United, like Chelsea, where everybody expects signings and at the moment not a lot has happened.
"There are 18 days to go, so that is a long time in the transfer market and we will be active. I cannot certify what the number [of players coming in will be] but we will be active until the end, that is for sure."
The Gunners have had two bids rejected by Liverpool for Suarez, one thought to be worth £40,000,001.
