Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti laughs off speculation that he could replace Unai Emery as head coach of Arsenal.

Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti has laughed off suggestions that he could replace Unai Emery at Arsenal.

The Italian has been mentioned as a possible replacement for Emery at the Emirates Stadium as the speculation surrounding the 48-year-old continues to gather pace.

Thursday's 2-1 defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League is expected to pile the pressure on the Spaniard, but speaking before Napoli's Champions League clash with Liverpool on Wednesday night, Ancelotti insisted that he was not in the frame to take charge of the Gunners.

"I stay with Napoli, of course. These are rumours! I have white hair and experience. In this moment they are all rumours," Ancelotti told BT Sport.

The 60-year-old started his managerial career with Reggiana in 1995 and has since taken charge of the likes of Juventus, AC Milan, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

Ancelotti also had a two-year spell in England with Chelsea between 2009 and 2011, delivering the Premier League title during his time at Stamford Bridge.
