Arsenal 'confident over new Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang deal'

Arsenal are confident that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will sign a new deal at the Emirates Stadium, according to a report.

Arsenal are reportedly confident that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will sign a new deal with the club.

The Gabon international has been a revelation since joining the Gunners from Borussia Dortmund in January 2018, finding the back of the net on 44 occasions in 69 appearances for the London club.

The 30-year-old has also netted three times in four Premier League appearances this season, including the equaliser against Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby last weekend.

Aubameyang's current deal at the Emirates Stadium will expire in June 2021, and Manchester United were credited with an interest during the recent transfer window.

However, according to football.london, Unai Emery's side are confident that the attacker will sign a new long-term contract due to his happiness at the club.

Aubameyang had managed 141 goals in 213 appearances for Dortmund ahead of a switch to London, with the deal reportedly costing Arsenal in the region of £56m.
