Arsenal reportedly identify Fenerbahce left-back Ferdi Kadioglu as a potential target for the summer transfer window.

Arsenal have reportedly identified Fenerbahce left-back Ferdi Kadioglu as a potential summer target.

Kadioglu is a regular fixture in the Fenerbahce side, having started 29 of the club's 30 Turkish Super Lig games this season.

The 24-year-old has contributed one goal and three assists in the league, helping his side mount a title challenge to their bitter rivals Galatasaray.

Kadioglu has also made 15 international appearances for Turkey after playing for his birth country, the Netherlands, at youth level.

The defender primarily played on the left side of defence, but he has showcased his versatility for both club and country, having operated on either side of the backline.

According to TRTSport, Kadioglu's impressive performances have caught the attention of Arsenal ahead of the summer transfer window.

However, the Gunners are not the only team showing an interest, with Italian side Napoli believed to be among his admirers.

While Fenerbahce may have to brace themselves for summer bids, the Turkish giants are reluctant to part ways with the full-back.

Kadioglu is currently under contract until the summer of 2026, and Fenerbahce will only consider sanctioning a sale for a significant fee.

Do Arsenal need a new left-back?

The left side of defence is unlikely to be a priority position, with the Gunners set to focus on other areas of the pitch.

Mikel Arteta can currently call upon Oleksandr Zinchenko, Jakub Kiwior and Takehiro Tomiyasu to operate in the left-back position.

Jurrien Timber, who arrived from Ajax last summer, will also be able to play as a full-back when he completes his rehabilitation from an anterior cruciate ligament injury.

However, there may still be a temptation to bring in a left-back, with Kieran Tierney and Nuno Tavares likely to leave when they return from their loan spells with Real Sociedad and Nottingham Forest respectively.
