Arsenal's Stan Kroenke to back Arsene Wenger with £100m transfer fund?

Arsenal's majority shareholder Stan Kroenke is reportedly prepared to give manager Arsene Wenger £100m to spend this summer.

Arsenal's majority shareholder Stan Kroenke is reportedly planning to give manager Arsene Wenger around £100m to spend on transfers this summer.

Doubts over Wenger's future at the Emirates have crept in over the last few weeks after the North London outfit picked up just two points in three games.

The side were heavily criticised after getting thrashed 6-0 by Chelsea on March 22, which put a huge dent in their Premier League title hopes.

However, according to The Telegraph, Kroenke remains confident that Wenger is the right man at the helm of the Emirates and is prepared to make funds available this summer, with a striker and holding midfielder in mind.

Widespread reports have claimed that Wenger is expected to sign a two-year contract extension at the end of the season.
