Malaga have reportedly entered the race to sign Montpellier striker Olivier Giroud.
The centre-forward's form, which was seen as a major factor behind his side's Ligue 1 title success, has attracted interest from the likes of Arsenal and Bayern Munich.
However, it now appears that those two clubs will face competition from Spanish side Malaga, who are looking to acquire a replacement for Ruud van Nistelrooy, according to AS.
Malaga, who are owned by the Qatari royal family, would be able to match and potentially beat any offers that are submitted for the 25-year-old.
Montpellier are believed to want at least £15m for Giroud's services.
