John Terry: 'Petr Cech worth 15 points to Arsenal'

Chelsea captain John Terry says that Petr Cech would earn Arsenal up to 15 points a season, should he move to the Emirates Stadium.

Chelsea captain John Terry has claimed that Petr Cech would be worth up to 12 to 15 points a season to Arsenal, should he join the Gunners.

The 33-year-old goalkeeper has been linked with a switch across London after losing his position as first-choice stopper to Thibaut Courtois at Stamford Bridge.

Terry believes that his Blues teammate would be a fine signing for Arsene Wenger's side.

"There's talk of Arsenal signing Petr Cech and, if they do get him, he will strengthen them for sure. He will save them 12 or 15 points a season," Terry told talkSPORT.

"Petr was an unbelievable professional last year. When you get left out of the team it can be hard to accept but, when he came in [to the side], he was exceptional.

"He deserves a lot of credit for that. We understand he wants to play first-team football but nobody wants to see him leave the club. He's going to be sorely missed and will improve any side he goes to."

Cech has made 494 appearances for Chelsea since joining them from Rennes in 2004.
