West Ham United are reportedly preparing to make a bid in the region of £30m for Chelsea striker Armando Broja.
After completing the signing of centre-back Nayef Aguerd from Rennes for around £30m on Monday, David Moyes is now looking to bolster his frontline with a new centre-forward to provide competition for Michail Antonio .
According to Sky Sports News, West Ham have identified Broja as their primary striker target this summer and an opening offer worth around £30m is set to be made.
The report adds that the Hammers are keen to act quickly in their pursuit of the 20-year-old amid uncertainty over the future of Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia.
Broja impressed during a season-long loan deal with Southampton in 2021-22, scoring nine goals in 38 appearances across all competitions.
Thomas Tuchel claimed to the media last month that Broja is part of his plans for pre-season, although the Albania international will allegedly seek assurances over regular first-team football at Stamford Bridge before deciding his future.
Broja, who has been links with a host of other clubs including Southampton, Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Nottingham Forest, has made only one senior appearances for Chelsea – back in March 2020 – and is under contract with the Blues until June 2026.
