Leandro Bacuna: 'Aston Villa determined to make history in FA Cup final

Aston Villa midfielder Leandro Bacuna reveals that he and his teammates are eagerly anticipating their FA Cup final showdown against Arsenal at Wembley.

Aston Villa midfielder Leandro Bacuna has revealed his determination to make history by lifting the FA Cup trophy on Saturday.

Tim Sherwood's side take on Arsenal at Wembley as the Villans look to win the competition for the first time since the 1956-57 season.

Bacuna has admitted that he is eagerly anticipating getting on to the pitch at Wembley to face off against the Gunners.

He told the club's official website: "The closer it gets, the more exciting it becomes. It's a good place to be. I'm more excited than nervous inside.

"To know you're going to play in the final against Arsenal is good for a player. Two or three years ago I couldn't have seen that stage for me and to be there is amazing. People are watching it all over the world. It's a big cup to be in.

"I've had a lot of fans telling me 'you need to win the Cup'. Even though we've lost the last two league games the fans are still positive and saying 'we'll see you at the Cup final - make sure you win that one then everything is good for us'. All the fans just want to win the final and make history."

The Villans beat Liverpool 2-1 in the semi-finals of the tournament to set up their clash with Arsenal.
