FA contacts Aston Villa forward Jordan Ayew over Watford incident

Aston Villa's Jordan Ayew is contacted for his observations as the Football Association investigates an incident at the end of Saturday's 3-2 defeat at Watford.

The Football Association has asked Aston Villa forward Jordan Ayew for his observations as it investigates an incident at the end of Saturday's Premier League match at Watford.

Ayew and teammate Idrissa Gueye were allegedly involved in an incident with home supporters at Vicarage Road.

Ghana international Ayew is said to have climbed over advertising boards to confront fans after reportedly taking exception to something said in his direction.

Relegated Villa conceded twice late on to lose 3-2, leaving them 15 points adrift at the bottom of the table.
