Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish has insisted that he will win over the club's doubting fans.
The former Birmingham boss arrived at Villa in the summer amongst protests surrounding his appointment.
McLeish has admitted, however, that he will do all he can to prove himself to the fans.
"Part of my job is to make the fans happy. And I know that that takes some time but I'm a guy who perseveres as well," McLeish told Sky Sports News.
"As I said at the time, I've got to try and prove that I can be the right man for this job, as I said in the summer. I'm still determined to win over the Villa fans who still have their doubts."
Villa continue their league campaign against Stoke on Monday evening.
