Tim Sherwood: Jack Grealish a "one-off talent"

Aston Villa boss Tim Sherwood describes Jack Grealish as a "one-off talent" ahead of the midfielder's expected return to action against Crystal Palace tomorrow.

Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood has called Jack Grealish a "one-off" but says that his relationship with the club's young star is "love-hate".

Grealish barely featured for Villa all summer in pre-season and has missed the club's first two games of the new Premier League campaign after a prolonged absence through injury, but he is expected to play some part this weekend.

The 19-year-old was the breakout star at Villa Park last season but has been criticised for his off-field antics after pictures of him apparently lying on the floor drunk surfaced earlier this summer.

Sherwood told reporters: "I will back him 100%, he is such a talented boy. He is a one-off talent, and he is certainly a one-off on the pitch.

"Young kids make mistakes, but hopefully he's over that and he can learn from it. I love him and hate him at the same time."

Villa face Crystal Palace in their third game of the new season at Selhurst Park tomorrow.
