Jackson Martinez: 'I am not Radamel Falcao'

New Atletico Madrid forward Jackson Martinez says that he does not want to be compared to fellow Colombian Radamel Falcao.

Jackson Martinez has distanced himself with comparisons to Radamel Falcao as he prepares to take to the field for Atletico Madrid this season.

Martinez made the move to the Vicente Calderon earlier this month after spending three seasons with Porto.

Falcao also joined Atletico from Porto earlier in his career and went on to become a cult hero in the Spanish capital.

Martinez, however, does not want to be compared to his fellow Colombian as he attempts to make his own name in Spain.

"Falcao is Falcao and Jackson is Jackson, like you are a journalist and there are others. I'll try to do well," Martinez told AS.

Martinez scored 32 goals for Porto last season.
