Diego Simeone expecting tough Real Betis test

Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone talks up the threat of Real Betis ahead of their game in La Liga on Sunday evening.

Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone is expecting a difficult test when his side take on Real Betis in La Liga this evening.

A win for Simeone's men would close the gap to just a point at the top of La Liga, but the Atleti boss is anticipating a tough game against Betis.

"Betis are a very good team that started well in the league and Thursday's result in Europe will give them a boost," Simeone told reporters.

"I imagine a tough game, it always is against Betis. We'll have to be very carefully against an opponent who has a lot of pace on the wings."

"We have to have a look who will be available because they have some knocks in defence."

Los Rojiblancos were beaten 1-0 by Espanyol last week.
