Barcelona boss Gerardo Martino has declared Lionel Messi fit and available for their Copa del Rey last-16 first leg against Getafe on Wednesday evening.

The 26-year-old has not featured for the Spanish champions since injuring his thigh in a league clash against Real Betis in November.

However, at a pre-match press conference, Martino revealed that the Argentine has been included in his squad for the cup match and will play some part at Camp Nou.

If Messi comes through the clash unscathed, then he will be in line to start the top-of-the-table La Liga clash with Atletico Madrid at the Vicente Calderon on Saturday.
