Barcelona midfielder Pedro has admitted that it is "complicated" to gain a regular spot in the club's first team.
The 25-year-old has struggled to hold down a first-team spot at the Catalan club this season, but he has refused to criticise Tito Vilanova.
"It's always complicated to play for Barca. Each year I have had to fight for a spot," Pedro told the club's official website.
"You have to earn your place and work hard. The objective is to help my teammates, the more minutes on the pitch and the more games I play, the better.
"Tito is giving me a lot of confidence. I'm very comfortable with my position in the team and I'm working well with my teammates."
Pedro has scored two goals in 12 games for the club this season.
