Barcelona 'eye swoop for Jerome Roussillon'

Barcelona consider a summer swoop for Wolfsburg defender Jerome Roussillon, according to a report.

Barcelona are reportedly considering a summer swoop for Wolfsburg defender Jerome Roussillon.

The 26-year-old joined Wolfsburg from Montpellier in the summer of 2018 and made 31 appearances for the German club during the 2018-19 campaign, contributing three goals and six assists.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Barca were impressed by the form of Roussillon last season and could attempt to sign the former France Under-20 international in this summer's transfer window.

Roussillon, who started his professional career with Sochaux, would provide competition for Jordi Alba at left-back if he moved to Camp Nou ahead of the 2019-20 season.

Arsenal, Manchester City, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid have previously been credited with an interest in a player who has a contract at the Volkswagen Arena until the summer of 2023.
