Report: Atletico Madrid set Miranda price at £16m

A report claims that Atletico Madrid will allow Miranda to leave the club this summer for £16m.

Atletico Madrid will reportedly sanction the sale of Miranda this summer if they receive an offer of £16m for the Brazilian defender.

The centre-back is widely regarded as one of the best of his kind in European football, with his performances this season a key part of Atletico's success in both Europe and in Spain.

Barcelona have been strongly linked with a move and according to Sport, £16m would be enough to convince Atletico to let the Catalan outfit discuss terms with the player.

The same report claims that Atletico will move for Porto's Eliaquim Mangala should Miranda depart the Vicente Calderon this summer.

A number of Premier League clubs are also believed to be monitoring proceedings.
