Bayern Munich's Pep Guardiola: 'It's boring to stay at one club for too long'

Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola pours doubt over his future by claiming that it is "boring" to stay at one club for too long.

Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola has sparked speculation over his future by admitting that it is "boring" to stay too long at one club.

The Spaniard has been heavily linked with a switch to Manchester City as his contract at the Allianz Arena expires at the end of the season.

While speaking about Arsene Wenger's spell at Arsenal, which will stretch to 20 years in 2016, Guardiola claimed that he does not have the energy to stick with one club long term.

"Twenty years at one club is now impossible," Guardiola told reporters. "Nobody has that energy anymore. It can get boring for the people.

"Wenger is more than just a manager for this club. He is almost everything. He can be at a club for that long. Me? No!"

In two years with Bayern, Guardiola has guided his team to back-to-back Bundesliga titles, as well as the DFB-Pokal.
