Saturday's Bundesliga football predictions including Bayern Munich vs. Mainz

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Bundesliga fixtures, including Bayern Munich vs. Mainz.

Bayern vs. Mainz 05 (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich will be looking to extend their lead at the top of the table when they host Mainz 05 at the Allianz Arena on Saturday.

The hosts have returned to their free-flowing best over the past week, whilst the visitors returned to winning ways last weekend to continue their strong start to the first half of the campaign.

We say: Bayern Munich 3-1 Mainz 05

Despite the success of the visitors so far this campaign, Bayern will be expected to win comfortably at the Allianz Arena on Saturday.

When the champions are playing in this kind of form, it is difficult to see how many teams in the world could stop them, so Mainz are likely to be playing for damage limitation unfortunately for them.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 3.5 goals.

RB Leipzig vs. Borussia M'bach (Saturday, 2.30pm)

RB Leipzig begin their era under a new head coach when they welcome Borussia Monchengladbach to the Red Bull Arena on Saturday.

The hosts head into the Bundesliga encounter on the back of three successive defeats in the league, whilst the visitors have lost their last two themselves, conceding 10 goals in the process.

We say: RB Leipzig 2-1 Borussia Monchengladbach

Neither side head into this encounter on a decent run of form, but due to Leipzig's strong showings at home despite their troubles, coupled with Gladbach's struggles on the road, we are predicting a home win.

Goals are probably to be expected in an open game, but there would be no surprises to see the visitors try to tighten up following their thrashings in their past two matches.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.

Freiburg vs. Hoffenheim (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Freiburg welcome Hoffenheim to the Europa-Park Stadion on Saturday afternoon for a six-pointer in the battle for the Bundesliga Champions League spots.

The hosts sit fourth, two points but just one place above their upcoming opponents, and both sides come into the match on the back of a victory.

We say: Freiburg 2-2 Hoffenheim

This game could go either way with both sides riding the crest of a wave at the moment. We foresee an action-packed, exciting game with plenty of goalmouth action and are going to back a high-scoring draw - with neither team having seen a stalemate in their last six games, they are certainly overdue one.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Hertha Berlin vs. Arminia Bielefeld (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Struggling Arminia Bielefeld head to the Olympiastadion Berlin to take on Hertha Berlin in what is looking like it could be a Bundesliga relegation six-pointer.

The hosts have dropped to 14th in the table after a poor run of form, but remain five points and three places above the visitors, who are above only Greuther Furth.

We say: Hertha Berlin 1-0 Arminia Bielefeld

Whilst Hertha have been struggling of late, it is impossible to ignore that their opponents have won just once all season. The visitors might be coming up against one of the Bundesliga's weakest defences, but they are the lowest-scoring side in the league with just 10 goals scored in 14 games and we expect that to continue on Saturday.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

VfL Bochum vs. Dortmund (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Borussia Dortmund's Marco Reus celebrates scoring their first goal with teammates on October 16, 2021© Reuters

Borussia Dortmund will be looking to bounce back from their defeat in Der Klassiker last weekend when they travel to an in-form VfL Bochum side in the Bundesliga on Saturday.

The hosts have incredibly won five of their last seven in their quest to avoid an immediate return to the 2.Bundesliga, whilst the visitors will look to Erling Braut Haaland to lead them to victory following his return to fitness in recent weeks.

We say: VfL Bochum 1-3 Borussia Dortmund

Although Bochum find themselves on a strong run of form, we are predicting a Dortmund win here largely due to the return of Haaland to the team in recent weeks.

The striker not only scores a huge amount of goals, but he also leads the line and lifts the whole team around him, so as a result we think the visitors will come out on top on Saturday.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.

Wolfsburg vs. Stuttgart (Saturday, 5.30pm)

Wolfsburg will be looking to end a poor run of form by returning to winning ways in the Bundesliga when they welcome Stuttgart to the Volkswagen Arena on Saturday.

The hosts are winless in five games across all competitions, whilst the visitors linger above the relegation places despite picking up four points from their last two outings.

We say: Wolfsburg 2-1 Stuttgart

Despite the gap between these sides in the table, we believe this will be a tight encounter on Saturday.

The hosts only have a couple of days to recover from their Champions League decider in midweek, compared to a full week from their visitors, but despite this, as well as their poor run of form, we are predicting a narrow home victory for them here.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.
