Bayern Munich striker Nils Petersen says that he wants to remain at Werder Bremen.

Bayern Munich striker Nils Petersen has revealed that he wants to remain at Werder Bremen when his loan spell at the club expires in the summer.

The 24-year-old has scored nine goals for Bremen this season, prompting suggestions that Bayern would make him a member of their first-team squad next season.

"I would love to stay in Bremen, for sure. It would be hard for me to leave Bremen. I just have to wait and see what Bayern plan, but there won't be any decision made before March or April," he told Radio Bremen.

Petersen joined Bayern from Energie Cottbus in 2011.
