Bristol City manager Sean O'Driscoll has revealed that he wants to sort out Albert Adomah's future sooner rather than later.
The 25-year-old winger recently handed in a transfer request at the League One club.
Championship side Wigan Athletic are reported to be keen on a move, but O'Driscoll says that he will play Adomah in City's upcoming friendly against Reading if nothing happens.
"I want it sorted for Albert's sake, for our sake and for everybody's sake," he told the Bristol Evening Post.
"I need to know whether he is going to still be with us when the season starts and if Wednesday comes around and nothing has been decided, I will use him against Reading."
Adomah joined City from Barnet in 2010.
