Peter Whittingham says that he was left "gutted" after Cardiff's 3-0 loss to Ipswich on Saturday.

Peter Whittingham has said that he was left "gutted" after Cardiff City's 3-0 loss to Ipswich Town on Saturday.

The loss comes a week before Cardiff take on Liverpool in the Carling Cup final at Wembley.

"The boys would have taken a win here and a loss at Wembley," the midfielder said.

"The boys weren't even thinking about Wembley before the game and that's probably what makes it more heart-wrenching.

"It's a big game for us but we're all thinking about Ipswich at the minute and how gutted we are."

The Bluebirds are currently fourth in the Championship, six points off leaders Southampton.
