Neil Lennon pleased with Celtic display

Neil Lennon says that he is pleased with the way his Celtic players performed during their narrow 1-0 win at St Johnstone.

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has said that he is pleased with his side's performance against St Johnstone in the Scottish Premiership on Thursday,

Virgil van Dijk's fifth-minute goal proved to be enough for the Glasgow giants to win 1-0 at McDiarmid Park.

"We never get it easy here, so it was as tight as I expected," he told BBC Radio Scotland.

"We played very well in the first half and we scored a wondergoal to win the game. We were a bit ragged for 10-15 minutes but the final half hour was pretty comfortable."

Celtic are currently 11 points clear at the top of the league table.
